On behalf of the Organization of Chemical Engineering Graduate Students (OChEGS) at the University of Houston, we would like to welcome you to our 33rd Annual Symposium. Our symposium provides an exciting opportunity for our department’s graduate students to showcase their research in our four fields of biomolecular engineering, catalysis and reactor engineering, energy and environmental engineering, and materials science and engineering.
Our symposium will take place from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Friday, October 5th, 2018 in the university’s Houston Ballroom, located in the Student Center. The agenda includes oral presentations from approximately 10 graduate students from different research areas, along with a keynote lecture given by a well-respected member of industry. Registration and breakfast will begin at 9:00 am, and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
This year, we hope to broaden our efforts in our symposium by offering lab tours and meetings with our professors. We do have cutting-edge facilities, including labs in our brand-new Multidisciplinary Research and Engineering Building (MREB). We hope that this could lead to further communication between industry and our chemical engineering graduate students.
