Organization of Chemical Engineering Graduate Students University of Houston

31st Annual Symposium – Fall 2016

On behalf of the Organization of Chemical Engineering Graduate Students at University of Houston, we would like to invite you to the 31st Annual OChEGS Symposium.  The Symposium provides an exciting opportunity for the department’s graduate students to showcase their research for Houston’s engineering community. Fields of research include reaction engineering and catalysis, materials engineering, transport and separations, bio-molecular engineering, petroleum and energy engineering and computer aided process engineering. The goal is to promote communication and collaboration between the industrial representative and UH chemical engineering graduate students.

This year’s Symposium will take place from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on Friday, September 23rd, 2016.  The agenda includes several graduate student oral presentation sessions and a keynote presentation by Dr. Tracy Davis, Senior Research Engineer at Chevron. The event will be held on the main campus in the University’s Student Center Houston Ballroom.  Registration and breakfast will begin at 8:00 am.  Refreshments, lunch, and a happy hour with open bar will be provided.

Please indicate whether you plan to attend this year’s event by completing the 2016 OChEGS Symposium Invitation form by September 15th 2016. Please also feel free to invite any colleagues or friends that may be interested in attending the Symposium as well.

Thank you for your continued support of the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Houston.  We hope to see you at the symposium in September.
