Spring 2023 Student Seminar Series

The Spring 2023 OChEGS Student Seminar Series marked the commencement of a student-led initiative within the Chemical Engineering (ChEE) department aimed at showcasing the remarkable research conducted by graduate students. This series represented a significant milestone in our department’s history in providing a new resource to help graduate students become outstanding research communicators. The OChEGS Student Seminar Series features two graduate students who present their diligent and innovative discoveries before an audience consisting of their peers and professors.

The seminars create an engaging and constructive environment where speakers have the opportunity to receive feedback, suggestions, and recommendations pertaining to the technical aspects of their research as well as the quality of their public speaking. The audience is able to anonymously participate in the evaluation process to assess the speakers, and winners are honored with the prestigious Student Seminar Award and a grand prize.
