Event Recap: Industry Engagement Session with Dow

We had our first Industry Engagement Session of the year! We gained practical perspectives and learnings listening to industry experts Catherine Dorsi (Senior R&D Engineering Specialist at Dow) and Dr. Keith Steelman (Research Scientist, Dow) share their experience. Catherine brought insights from her 15+ years of experience and work on major capital projects, while Dr. Steelman shared his experience transitioning from a PhD student to an industry expert in catalyst development.

A few highlights from the session:

• The critical importance of continuous learning and the ability to communicate technical work to any audience—from fellow engineers to executives.
• Candid advice in transitioning to and navigating roles in both R&D and process engineering.
